What is Motorsports With Sam?

Hey welcome, I'm Sam! You can find out more about me on the About page but while you are here let me talk about what I am going to try to do with this blog.

First off, I will do my best to keep everything good faith and fun. I am talking about sport and games which, almost by definition, should be fun. I'm sure I will make some grumbles, just watch any of my race streams, but this isn't real life and I will do my best to keep it to a minimum. Ok with the boring legalize out of the way what is this?

This blog is supposed to be a repository of all the things that I think are cool about motorsport! Unfortunately for some that will mean some math. For those that don't like math, don't fret, I will do my best to keep the majority of things general interest and not requiring an engineering degree. For everyone else there is a methodology section that will be a bit more specific in math and engineering departments.

Motorsports With Sam is broken down into two broad categories. The first is the blog section. This is contain write ups on current real races, sim races I have done, and any other motorsports related projects I want to cover. For most of the post race content I will focus on the race strategy and decision making of the race. There will be some how-tos and other interesting "tricks" I have found, mostly in iRacing. The second is a link to all of my sim racing content. iRacing is an outlet that I have found is easy and reasonably priced enough to allow me to continue exploring motorsports engineering and the fun of actually racing. I dont always drive regularly but I do try to upload most of my races.
